OVERVIEW of  the

7 DAY MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION PROGRAM

Throughout these next 7 days you will be able to participate in daily guided mindfulness activities and meditations.  During this journey you will be provided with  opportunities to learn various techniques, tools and strategies.  You will learn how to access and utilise different resources designed to support your return to a place of centeredness.  A spacious place of well being that allows for objectivity and dynamic versatility.  



Start your day with a short mindfulness activity that sharpens your internal observation comfortably, effortlessly and with accessibility. This establishes a reflective intention for the day.  You are encouraged to take a comfortable seated posture, however, you may alternatively lay down or any other position that works for you to actively observe and connect more deeply with the mindfulness activity.  

Throughout your day, your focused intention allows you to develop skills may support you to free your mind, body and spirit from their stresses.  Living mindfully allows you to:

  • Recognise triggers and patterns as they occur

  • Become aware of specific body-mind responses

  • Investigate our intended desires and actions

  • Choose a nurturing path forward that conveys our true message

The meditations reinforce the focus of the mindfulness activity and daily intention. The guided meditations may be completed in any position where your body is relaxed and the spine is lengthened.  If in a seated position, allow yourself to sit up straight so that you support your own body weight rather than slouching into a chair.  Engage in the meditation at a time that suits you.  You may also choose to listen to these numerous times throughout the day.  This is your journey and the aim is to create the program that suits your specific needs.


Release the mind chatter that accumulates throughout the day's activities. Refresh and gain insight on the reflections from your morning mindfulness activity. Learn how to create the opportunity to rejuvenate and relax into a restful sleep.

MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION

The ultimate aim of Mindful living is bringing focus into our everyday lived experience.  During the 7 day Mindfulness and Meditation course, we will carefully and systematically investigate our physical body and our physical sensations via a process called Yoga Nidra.  Yoga Nidra, a deep inquiry process used in Meditation, comes from the wisdom traditions and the focus of recent scientific psychology research.  It has been linked to connecting the mind-body relationship, with individual’s reporting:

  • Increases in memory

  • Increases in attention

  • Decreases in anxiety

  • Decreases in stress levels

  • Increases in performance

Reflective Journal

Although keeping a journal of your experiences and reflections as you progress through your Wellness Journey over the next 7 Days is purely up to you, it is highly recommended that you do, for this will improve your understanding and appreciation of what you have learnt through your engagement with this Mindfulness and Meditation experience. Your journal entries can be as little or as much as you feel is appropriate to you. There is no right or wrong way to do it. But if you are unsure how to begin, here are some simple prompts:

  • Once I learn these Mindfulness and Meditation practises, skills and techniques, my life will be …

  • Simply record any other information, observations, thoughts, or considerations that feel appropriate for you as they arise during your participation in this course.
